Software Engineering & Applied AI · Mumbai, India

Most software breaks in month six.

That is when traffic doubles, the database starts creaking, and whoever built it has moved on. CodeNXT Lab builds software meant to last past that. Planned before it is written, and handed over so it is yours.

We take on a few projects at a time. That is the point.

Fewer clients. More attention each.

A bigger firm grows by adding people. We grow by not needing to. One engineer holds the whole system in his head. He keeps it there from the first sketch to the day you take it over, and that only works on a small number of projects at once, so that is all we take.

When we are full, we will say so, and tell you when we are free again.

  1. i

    One engineer, start to finish.

The person who designs your system is the person who writes it and the person who answers when something goes wrong. Nothing is handed to someone who wasn't there.

  2. ii

We say no to work we would do badly.

Two separately-written native apps is work we decline outright. Flutter covers both platforms; when the requirements genuinely need native twice, we say so and pass the work on.

  3. iii

    You own the result.

Repository, documentation, credentials, and a runbook. Most clients stay. The point is that they don't have to.

02

Two products we run ourselves.

We fund them. We operate them. We carry the pager.

These aren't case studies we were paid to write. Every architectural call we make for you is one we've already had to live with on our own money.

  1. High-throughput WhatsApp delivery engine. Contract-first, queue-backed, built for messages that cannot be silently dropped.

    10,000 messages/day · 99.9% measured uptime

  2. Point-of-sale and operations infrastructure for barbershops. Offline-tolerant, hardware-integrated, designed around what actually happens at the counter.

In pilot · 1,000 transactions processed

03

What we build.

Five capabilities. No subcontractors.

  1. i

    Backend & Infrastructure

The part of your product nobody sees. Where your data lives, and what keeps it quick when a thousand people show up at once.

Go services, high concurrency, edge deployment. Built to run cheap and scale without a rewrite.

    Go · Postgres · Redis · NATS · Docker · Cloudflare Workers

  2. ii

    Commerce & Content Platforms

Online shops, and websites you can change yourself. Update a price or swap a photo without emailing a developer.

Online stores and marketing sites the owner can edit without calling a developer. SvelteKit on Cloudflare's edge, so pages render close to the buyer.

    SvelteKit · Cloudflare Pages · R2 · D1 · Stripe · Razorpay

  3. iii

    Mobile Applications

Apps for iPhone and Android, built once so both stay in step.

Flutter. One codebase, native where it matters.

    Flutter · Dart · Firebase · Fastlane

  4. iv

    Applied AI

AI fitted into software that already works. Search that understands a plain question, or a step that used to need a person.

Retrieval, agents, and model integration wired into systems that already work. AI as a component, not a pitch.

Python · PyTorch · Anthropic API · pgvector · LangGraph

  5. v

    India Payments & Compliance

Taking money in India properly. UPI, GST-correct invoices, and a paper trail that holds up when someone checks.

UPI collection flows, GST-correct invoicing, and fund-flow structures that survive a regulator reading them. Most agencies won't touch this.

    UPI · NPCI Rails · GST e-Invoice · Setu · Decentro

All five, in detail

What we've shipped for clients.

Two builds. Both live. Both handed over.

  1. Online store for laser-cut and engraved woodwork, rendering from the data centre nearest the buyer.

    Ask about Axis Dimension
  2. Marketing site with a self-serve dashboard. Every image, price, and block of copy is editable by the owner.

    Ask about Starcolours Coating

05

Four things we do differently.

Our process, in writing, before work starts.

  1. i

Scope states what we will not build.

Every proposal carries an exclusions list. Ambiguity is the most expensive line item in software.

  2. ii

    Architecture before code.

You get a written system design before a single file is committed: data model, failure modes, cost envelope.

  3. iii

    Shipped in thin slices.

The first deliverable is the narrowest end-to-end path that actually works. No six-week silence.

  4. iv

    Handover is a deliverable.

Repo, documentation, runbook, credentials. You can fire us and keep going. Most clients don't. They can.

06

How we start.

Three ways in. All priced before work begins.

  1. Fixed-scope build

Defined outcome, defined price, exclusions in writing.

  2. Retained engineering

Ongoing capacity for teams already in production.

  3. Architecture review

One week, fixed fee. A written system design and a risk list you keep whether or not we build it.
